March 14, 1951 - December 30, 2023
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our loving husband and father Ingo Schaus. Ingo passed peacefully at home on Dec. 30, 2023 at the age of 72 after a brief battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years Darlene, his two sons, Tyler and Trevor, sister Karen (Bill) and niece Elizabeth.
Ingo was born in Germany, grew up in Ontario and moved to BC in the late 90's. South Surrey became home for him and his family. Ingo worked in the steel industry most of his life and when he retired he took up woodworking. Making beautiful pieces of furniture that his family will always treasure.
His greatest joy was his two boys. Spending any free time coaching baseball, teaching them to swim and ski, attending every game they played and watching them grow up to be loving young men with pride.
We would like to thank the staff and doctors at Melville House Hospice and Fraser Valley Health home care for their exceptional compassion and care.
As per his request there will be no service aside for a small gathering of family to scatter his ashes.
In lieu of flowers if you would like to make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or to your local SPCA that would be appreciated.
Ingo loved his pets and will also be missed by our cats and dog.
