September 24, 1932 - October 13, 2020
We are saddened to announce the passing of Irma on October 13, 2020 at the age of 88.
Irma was predeceased by her mother Mary Vollhoffer, sister Alvina Matza and brother Rudy Vollhoffer.
She is survived by sisters Elsie Elgie and Rose Brownridge; nieces: Donna Dufresne, Lois Adams, Wendy Fritshaw; nephews, Garth Elgie and Ernie Kashima.
Irma was born in Regina and raised in Southey, SK. with her 4 siblings.
She graduated as an R.N. from Grey Nuns Hospital, Regina. She worked in hospitals for many years in California, becoming a head nurse.
Irma enjoyed travel with friends and family. After retirement, she moved to White Rock and enjoyed time with family and friends and volunteering at church.
Irma was known for her hard work, strength of character and love of life.
Warm thanks to the staff at Carlton Gardens Care Centre who kindly cared for Irma for the last four years.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
A funeral service will take place at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2250 150 Street, Surrey on Thursday, October 29th at 1 pm.
