Jacqueline Marie (nee Thomson)
May 4, 1929 - November 21, 2016
Jacquie passed away peacefully in the early morning of November 21, 2016 at Sunrise Senior Care Home in Victoria. She was born in Trail BC on May 4, 1928 to William and Draga Thomson. Jacquie attended Trail Central School and Trail High School. A few years later she attended Normal School in Victoria. Upon graduation she taught in North Vancouver for a few years, moving to Victoria as a teacher/librarian at John Stubbs School in Belmont Park Collwood BC for many years. She married Donald Stipkala on August 28, 1953 in the Navel Chapel at Esquimalt, BC. She was predeceased by Don on January 11, 2012. Jacquie is survived by her sisters Marjorie McMaster in Duncan BC, Rosemary Thomson in North Vancouver BC, and brother Norman Thomson (Betty) in Victoria BC, also brother and sisters-in-law Tony and Donalda Stipkala and Bernie and Ollie Stipkala.
