It is with grief and sadness the family of Grandpa Jim announce his passing. Jim passed away peacefully in his sleep on Dec 23 at 5am at the age of 90. He is survived by his children Scott (Shannon), Trish (Jim), Grandchildren, Ryan (Lacey), Shaun, Jessica (Bojan), Brian and Madeline. Great grandchildren Logan and Austin and his brother Croft Regan. At the age of 2 he contracted polio and was left with one leg shorter and without muscle but that never stopped him. He played competitive basketball and many other sports. He met his beautiful wife, Beverley White, at Woodwards Department store and enjoyed over 40 years together. They loved to be with the grandchildren and traveled throughout Canada and the United states in their motor Home. Gramps was, to say the least, the life of the party! He sang, danced and acted. He even participated in Beer darts with the grandkids. He was an amazing father and grandfather. He coached his son’s soccer team. He never missed a hockey practice, game, school play, ballet recital or any social gathering. All the local grandkid’s friends loved him and referred to him as Grampa Beesley. He lived in White Rock from 1967 until his passing at Evergreen Baptist Home. He was manager and co owner of Colonial Pacific Realty, Past President of the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board, past president of the White Rock Lions Club, president of the Resident’s Society at both the Renaissance Senior living in Langley and at Evergreen Baptist Home in White Rock and of course, always the star in the musical or play. He will be missed by so many people but especially by his family that absolutely adored him! A Celebration of his life will be held January 29th at 1pm at Evergreen Manor at 1531 Everall Street, White Rock, BC. For more information contact Trish at 604-992-4604
