In loving memory ~

Janet Cormode, 83, passed away on January 31 in White Rock. Born and raised in Vancouver, with visits to her stepfather's cottage in White Rock. She completed a Nursing degree at UBC. After marriage, Janet and her husband Alex Cormode resided in mining towns in BC, Pine Point, NWT, and Saskatoon. They retired to White Rock in 2006.

Janet was predeceased by her husband Alex; brothers John (June) and Peter (late Joan) Tynan; and stepbrothers Fred (Alyce) and Hal Tynan. She is survived by three children: Liisa, Arthur, and Thomas (Renée); grandchildren Teaghan and Georgiana; and other relatives.

Janet was an active member in the Anglican church, especially the ACW. Her hobbies included knitting, Bridge, Maltese dogs, and giving people a helping hand. Janet enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, especially on vacations to Florida. She will be remembered as someone with joie de vivre.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 12, 2024, at St. Mark - Ocean Park Anglican Church (12953-20th Avenue, Surrey) at 2:00 pm. Another will take place in Acme, AB in early July.
