(Widow of James Browning Roe - 1980)

With profound gratitude for the Blessing of having Jean in our lives, her "four lovely daughters", their husbands, her eight grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren, announce the passing of one of Canada's "top people"!

Jean was born in Botwood, Newfoundland to James and Sarah Scott, and lived in cities across Western Canada before retiring to South Surrey in 1993. She dedicated her life to helping others, giving of her time and talents to people down the street and across the world.

For her devotion to humanity and the planet, she was made a Member of the Order of Canada in 1981. She received two of The Queen's Jubilee Medals, and scores of other local, provincial and national awards for her service.

Jean is "going home" to her beloved Newfoundland to rest in peace. Her brother Robert Scott will welcome her home. Jean's family and friends will celebrate her glorious life in White Rock in June with an awesome Kitchen Party.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in her memory to the Peace Arch Hospice Society, the Surrey Firefighter's Association Burn Fund, or any charity, would be "some nice".

We love you Mom! Jennifer, Elizabeth, Catherine, Charlotte
