In Loving Memory ~

On the 2nd of February 2024, Jeffrey Colin Aves passed away in Kelowna, BC at the age of 79 years. Our beloved father, grandad, brother and uncle passed away with his family by his side.

Jeff was married to his beloved wife Margaret for 57 years, who passed August 9, 2023.

He will be lovingly remembered by children, Colin (Karli), Greg (Ninette), Mike (Nikki), and Derek (Cheryl); grandchildren, Katelynn, Conner (Stefanie), Courtney, Keegan, Maggie, Sam, and Tyler.

He will also be dearly missed by many of his friends and family from London, Scotland, Edmonton, AB and White Rock, BC.

Jeff was born during an air raid September 21, 1944 in Barkingside Ilford Essex England during WW2. He moved to Canada in the fifties with parents Bill & Emily, and brothers Bruce & Bernard.

After graduating high school in 1960, he worked several jobs in Edmonton & Winnipeg. He then moved back to London in 1964, but left after England won the World Cup in 1966, returning to Edmonton where he met Marg at his welcome home party.

After getting married in 1966 and settling in Edmonton, they then moved to St Albert and spent a number of years raising their four boys. Jeffrey took employment in Vancouver in 1985 and he and Marg moved the family west to White Rock, BC.

Jeff and Marg made the move to West Kelowna and Peachland in 2021. The Okanagan was a place that the family had spent many summers over the years, mainly in Penticton. One of Jeff's favourite places to be was with Marg, the boys, and the grandkids in Nuevo Vallarta. They both really loved to travel.

Memorial Donations may be made in Jeffrey's name to the KGH (Kelowna Hospital) Foundation at https://www.kghfoundation.com.

The family also wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Kelowna General Hospital and Village at Smith Creek for their care and compassion.
