In Loving Memory ~

Joan passed away on June 1, 2024 in her home with her family members by her side. She will be leaving a legacy of resilience, love, warmth, and a sense of kindness only she could provide that will be missed by all those lucky enough to know her. She was 86 years old.

Joan was so much more than just a Mother and Grandmother, she was the epitome of loving, giving, kind and caring. Joan had the ability to touch the hearts of the people she met. Her quick wit and her ability to share her humour through Tik Tok and Snapchat was inspiring to all of those around her.

As we mourn her loss, let us celebrate the amazing life she lived and the countless lives she touched along the way. Her spirit will continue to live large in our hearts forever and always.

A Fallen Limb

A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me". Remember the best times, the laughter, the song. The good life I lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage. I'm counting on you. Keep smiling, and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Remembering all, how I truly was blessed. Continue traditions, no matter how small. Go on with your life; don't worry about falls. I will miss you all dearly, so keep your chin up. Until the day comes we're together again.

The family wishes to acknowledge with deep gratitude the love, concern, and kindness shared by so many throughout Mom's circle. Special Thanks to Dr. Mukheiber and Dr. Rutnick, who supported our family in Mom's final moments as we shared our love and final goodbyes.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
