It is with sadness that her family announces the passing of Joan Bennett, ending her 15 year battle with Parkinsons.
Joan is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 33 years, Alfred Bennett, daughters Elizabeth (David), Pamela, and Cheryl (Noel), grandchildren Jessica, Derek, Amelia, Helen, Anna, Grace, and Jenna, great-grandson Aidan, and siblings in England, Joyce, Christine (David) and Peter (Sue), and many nieces and nephews.
Joan worked at BCIT and was involved in establishing the Knowledge Network. She was an accomplished tennis player and lawn bowler (White Rock Lawn Bowling Club), and she was the first woman to be the president of Bowls BC. She loved to sew, play bridge and garden - especially roses. She painted many beautiful watercolours.
