Joan Mary Robertson (nee Leno), 96, born in New York and raised in Toronto, Ontario, passed away on February 6, 2024, in White Rock, British Columbia.
Joan was born on January 11, 1928. She graduated from Vaughan Road Collegiate Institute and lived in Etobicoke, Ontario. After raising four children, Joan took great delight in wedding consulting at the Royal York Hotel. They settled in White Rock, British Columbia, in 2002 to spend their retirement. Joan enjoyed volunteering, curling wintering in Florida and travelling.
Joan was predeceased by her loving husband, Jim (2012). She is survived by her four children daughter, Jill (John); son, John (Lianne); and daughters, Jeannie (Jonathan) and Joslynne (Chihiro); 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
There are no words to express the gratitude to all the staff at Pacific Carlton Retirement Community for their love, support, caring and dedication to Joan.
No services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Diabetes Canada.
