John Robert Murray "Jack"

Jack passed away unexpectedly in White Rock at the age of 79 after a brief battle with his health. Jack fought for his recovery and independence to the end.

He will be laid to rest with his father John Robert Murray and brother Lawrence Wilson Murray.

He was also predeceased by his wife Kathie and eldest brother William (Bill) Murray of Gibsons.

Jack is survived by his sister Eleanor Jean McConachie, and children Bonnie, Russell, Steven, and grandchildren Michael, Angie, Richard and Raylene.

Jack will also be sadly missed by his great grandchildren, Carleen, Asia, Jasmin and Summer.

He was born in New Westminster, and spent his life in White Rock. He attended Sunnyside Elementary, and then Semiahmoo High School and met his late wife Kathie shortly after. He worked in the construction industry for many years from which he took early retirement.

Jack leaves behind many long lasting friendships. Jack was a wealth of knowledge when asked about the local history.

He was a friend to all, and was well known for his kind, sensitive manner while always being the life and soul of the party with his colourful stories.

He will be forever missed.

Please join us to celebrate Jack's life on November 19th, 2 pm, at the Royal Canadian Legion, 2290 152nd Street.
