1942-2016
It is with great sadness and love that we announce the passing of my mom and Katie’s nana on the 12th Aug 2016, at the age of 73. After a lengthy but courageous battle with cancer, she passed away at Laurel Place Hospice in Surrey. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Tony (Liane) and her only grandchild Katie. She was predeceased by her parents John and Esther Boak, her brothers Jack and Doug Boak, sister Irene Leaming, husband Robert (Bob) Miller and her very special daughter Yvonne Miller. Although giving much of her time to work at CBSA until she retired, she was a private person but yet when called upon she stepped up to the plate per se. Her sense of humour will be missed by all that knew her. Mom is finally at peace and with her beloved family that predeceased her, especially her daughter Yvonne and that void is filled now. As per Mom’s wishes there will be no service, a private family gathering will take place. Special thanks to the nursing/counselling/volunteer personnel at Laurel Place for their care and kindness.
