Judy Hartwell
January 10, 1922 – June 21, 2016
With great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother on June 21 in the Peace Arch Hospital, White Rock. Predeceased by her husband Kevan in 2001, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage. Also predeceased by son Garett in 1975. Survived by children Janice [Ray] Durand, Cathrine [John] Dubie, Hilton [Minna], Rae [Deirdre], Judy [Tom] McPhee, Kevan Jr. [Heidi]. Also survived by 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and many dear friends. Judy was born Gabriele von Estlinger in Wels, Austria. She married Kevan in 1943, and in 1952 they emigrated to Canada, settling in Edmonton, Alberta. In 1967 they moved to British Columbia and created a wonderful home in South Surrey. She proudly watched the family flourish and grow as her sons and daughters married and had children. She was also pleased to watch the grandchildren become adults and start a new generation. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 11:00 am at Victory Funeral Centre 14831 28 Avenue, Surrey, BC. Condolences may be offered at :
