Julia passed peacefully on January 15, 2024. She was 95 years old.
Born in Romania, Julia and her mother immigrated to Canada in 1929 to join her father.
She is predeceased by her loving husband Albert.
They had 3 children, David, (Emmanuelle), Larry (Samar) and Laura (Jim), 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
In 1950, Julia graduated from the Montreal General Hospital School of Nursing. That same year she got married, moved to Toronto and began her nursing career. Several years later, she and her growing family moved back to Montreal where Julia became the administrator of LaSalle Hospital. She remained there for the duration of her career.
Julia had many interests. A talented artist, Julia was accomplished in oil painting, cross stitch, embroidery, hardanger, and was an avid gardener. She loved to cook and entertain. She loved to travel. Hawaii was her favourite destination.
In her retirement years, she and Albert volunteered their time to Meals on Wheels and raising money for their local church. She had a good eye for fashion and a keen sense of style.
In her later years, she and Albert moved to White Rock, BC to be closer to their 3 children. She had a full life filled with love and laughter and was blessed with many friends.
