Katharine Edna Ryan was born in Calgary, Alberta on November 24, 1912 and passed away on October 12, 2002 in Surrey, B.C.
Predeceased by her loving husband James Joseph Ryan; grandchildren Christopher and Darryl Major. Survived by five children; Elizabeth (Ljubo) Genovese of Osooyos, James Ryan Jr. (Chris) of Calgary, Alberta, Kathleen Gywneth (John) McMahon of Surrey, Marguerite Patricia (Bob) Tamblyn of White Rock, Shelley Denise (Marty) Stutt of Langley; eight grandchildren Steve Major (Jean), Bob Wagner (Michelle), Jasmine Wagner (Jeremy), Shawn Ryan, Lynette Durupt, Darren Durupt (Andrea), Ryan Tamblyn and Matthew Tamblyn; three great-grandchildren Jenny, Cheryl and Stephen.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 19, 2002 at 2:30 p.m. from the Arbor Chapel, 14660 - 72nd Ave., Surrey, B.C.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.
