Kathleen Merle Pedersen, age 93, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019, with her family by her side. She was born January 16, 1926 in Saskatoon to John and Kathleen Lees. On October 11, 1950 'Kathy' married Peter Pedersen, and for most of their life they lived in South Surrey, where they grew together with 60 years of marriage. Kathy enjoyed quilting, knitting, making hardanger, playing cards, bingo and going to the casino. She was adept in the kitchen, creating preserves, jams, baked goods and fabulous home cooked meals. She had a great love of animals and always had at least one dog or cat in her life. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Peter, brothers Willis and Cliff, sisters Gwen and Ruth (twin) and grandson Jeremy. She is survived by her three children, Marty (Mia), Judy (Bruce) and Bob (Kay); grandchildren Michael (Julie), Erika (Sean), Brock, Antonio, Christopher (Richel) and Lisa (Paul); and great-grandchildren Emma, Lily, Brooklyn, Tyler, Ryker and Oakley. She was loved by all that knew her and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who will be missed beyond words. No service by request.
