Lane Noel Wilson was born in Trinidad Dec. 25th, 1937. He grew up in a loving home with his parents and six siblings.
He moved to Canada in 1959, completed his undergraduate and master's degrees at UBC and became a teacher and later,
a principal. His career spanned 43 years, and he helped shape the minds and lives of hundreds of his students.
He met his wife, Fran, in April of 1972 and they married in 1977. During their 43 years together they enjoyed many travels, raised 2
daughters and loved deeply. Lane was well read and spoke many languages. He loved to dance, sing and tell stories. His laughter was
contagious and his presence warmed any room he was in.
Lane passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of Saturday ,March 14th, 2020 with his wife by his side. He leaves
behind his wife, 2 daughters, 5 grandchildren, 2 brothers, and many other family members and friends. He will be buried at St. Faith's
Anglican Church in Vancouver. A celebration of life will later be announced.
