With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of Lesley Beryl Maudsley.

Lesley was preceded in death by Jim, her cherished husband of 46 years. Their union was a beautiful testament to enduring love and mutual respect, offering a beacon of hope to all fortunate enough to observe their bond.

Lesley leaves behind her sons, Paul, Ian, and Mark, to whom she was a beacon of unwavering love. Her warmth didn't end with her sons; as a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, she valued every moment shared with them. They were the center of her universe, and her legacy lives on in their hearts.

Originating from Nottingham, England, Lesley touched souls wherever she went. In 1968, she embraced a fresh chapter, moving to Canada. This choice didn't only redefine her life but also bestowed the Canadian community with her unyielding spirit of generosity and empathy.

She passionately volunteered, contributing numerous hours to the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary and other charitable endeavors, with a particular emphasis on elevating the well-being of Veterans. Her altruistic endeavors garnered widespread esteem.

Lesley's immeasurable kindness, heartwarming laughter, and unwavering commitment to family and society will leave a void. However, her influence remains, igniting a spark in all who had the honour of being part of her journey.

Lesley's life will be privately celebrated by the family at a future date. To honour her lifelong dedication to the service of others, a memorial will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, November 21 at the Cloverdale Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion.

Instead of floral tributes, the family humbly requests donations be directed to the Royal Canadian Legion or charities supporting Veterans.

In our hearts, we find solace in envisioning Lesley and Jim together again, casting a protective shadow over their cherished family. Farewell, beloved Lesley, you are eternally treasured in our memories.
