Lois ROSS

ROSS: Lois Catherine (nee Radford) born May 15, 1927 at Edmonton, Alberta. Lois passed away at White Rock Peace Arch Hospital on May 17, 2005 after a nine year battle with breast cancer. Lovingly remembered by her husband Jim, son Bruce (Beth) - Nelson and daughters Corinne (Don) - Fruitvale and Beverley (Allan) - Kamloops, her brother Bruce (Norma) - Etobicoke, and will be greatly missed by her seven grandchildren; Jennifer and Allison Ross; Jesse, Erin, and Jamie Grayson; and Lana and Grant Shoemaker.

Lois was a graduate of the University of Alberta - in Home Economics and the University of British Columbia - in Education. She worked in her two fields for may years before retiring from teaching in Trail, B.C. and moving to South Surrey in 1986.

Lois led an active like traveling, gardening, and playing bridge. She loved culinary arts and delighted in entertaining her friends. The Vancouver Symphony performances were on her list of favourite outings.

Her children and grandchildren were foremost in her mind and she was always available to them in any capacity.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Lois's memory may be made to the B.C. Cancer Society c/o Fraser Valley Cancer Agency, 13750-96 Ave. Surrey, B.C. V3V-1Z2 and the WRSS Stroke Club, Suite 203-14934 Thrift Avenue, White Rock, B.C. V4B-2J9.

No service will be held. A memorial will be held at St. John's Presbyterian Church, 1480 George Street, White Rock at 2 p.m. on June 10th.
