Marilyn, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on February 19, 2024, at Surrey Memorial Hospital. Born on July 23, 1942, Marilyn's life was marked by her passion for education, art, and adventure.

Alongside her late husband Gene, she shared a loving marriage of 53 years, celebrated in their cherished community of White Rock.

A talented educator, Marilyn inspired countless young minds across Delta, Burnaby, Langley, and Surrey with her dedication and creativity.

In retirement, her artistic spirit flourished, with beautiful watercolor paintings that reflected the joy she found in her travels and life's simple pleasures.

Marilyn's adventurous soul led her and Gene to explore the vast landscapes of Canada and the USA, sharing memorable journeys with fellow Airstream club members.

Marilyn's commitment to community shone through her active involvement in the Peace Arch Hospital Auxiliary and the Cloverdale Elks Club. Her home was a hub of warmth and creativity, where she enjoyed knitting, sewing, and playing the piano, often surrounded by family and friends.

She leaves behind a son, a stepson, ten grandchildren, countless friendships, and a community enriched by her kindness, creativity, and adventurous spirit. Her life was a testament to the belief that one is never too old to learn or to share knowledge with others. Marilyn will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
