August 9, 1930 - February 29, 2024

Micki was born Ceylon Saskatchewan the third of ten children to Frank and Najibi Houssian. The large Houssian family were very close and strived to keep their Lebanese traditions while living and integrating into the Canadian community. They even attended the United Church.

After Graduation, Micki took a bookkeeping course. She worked in Windsor, Ontario and then Washington, D.C. She later joined her sister in Portland, Oregon where she got involved in the Travel Agency business. She started her own Travel Agency in San Francisco where she lived for forty years. Micki developed a passion for traveling, and circumnavigated the globe ten times.

In San Francisco, she met Burt Kuitem. They were married for five years. Then Burt passed away from Cancer. It was through Burt that Micki developed her love of tulips.

After selling her travel agency, Micki decided she wanted to be closer to family and moved back to Canada. She lived in the Vancouver area for 14 years.

She had a fabulous apartment near Sunset Beach and later moved to South Surrey. She continued traveling, going often with her sisters or various nieces and nephews for many adventures. Among her highlights were trips to Lebanon, Italy, Jordan, through Scandinavia, Russia, Brazil, India and so many others.

Micki passed away suddenly February 29, 2024.

She will be dearly missed by her large extended family and many friends.
