October 6, 1954 - September 6, 2021
Myrna Joan Vaksdal, late of South Surrey, BC (formerly of Lake Alma, SK), died peacefully on September 6, 2021 at the age of 66 years.
Myrna was predeceased by her parents Jim and Norma Vaksdal.
Myrna is survived by her daughter Miranda (Mike), grandchildren Michaela, Matthew and Madeline. Stepmother Evelyn, brother Lonnie (Cathy), nieces Ashley (Kevin), Angela (Cory) and Chloe, great-nieces Marley and Brinley and great-nephew Ryland.
Myrna was born on October 6, 1954 and spent her childhood on the family farm. She moved with her family to White Rock, BC in 1970.
Her daughter Mindy was born in 1980 and they soon moved into the Totem Co-op. Mindy was the light of her life and she was thrilled when she became a Grandmother. She loved experiencing many of her grandchildren's milestones on her annual visits to Alberta.
Myrna will be remembered for her animated storytelling, for being a voracious reader, her dry sense of humour and her love of family, friends and the church community.
A service was held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in South Surrey.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations in memory of Myrna may be made to the Surrey Public Library.
