March 16, 1930 - July 15, 2021
It is with great sorrow that we share the passing of Nancy - or "Nannie" as she was lovingly referred to by all her grandchildren - on July 15th, 2021 at Peace Arch Hospital, White Rock, BC. Born in Vancouver, BC on March 16th, 1930 to a musical family, Nancy was gifted with a beautiful singing voice and loved being part of the church choir.
In May 1951, she married Donald and they settled in Richmond where they built their home and raised their family. Nancy devoted her life to her family, ensuring they were well cared for and well fed; she loved to cook for her family and was known for her baking and desserts (especially her Nanaimo Bars).
She had a quick wit about her that never dulled and was always up for a good laugh. Through the years, Nancy loved dressing up and creating her own costumes earning her the nickname "Fancy Nancy".
She was an inspiration to each of us and was always there to share in our joys and sorrows.
Survived by her daughter Judith Olson and Ron of North Delta, her son Allen and Candius of Bridge Lake, and daughter Lynn MacKenzie of White Rock, grandchildren Sarah (Winston), Andrew (Anna), Erik (Christina), Ian (Emily), Stephanie, Shayne and Brittany and great-grandchildren Nicholas, Abigail, Hannah, Dior, Kyler, Payton, Brianne, Alexander, Abigail, Annabelle, Rosie and Anton Jonathan and nephew Glen (Heather) Bancroft.
A private Celebration of Life service will be held by family members in the Fall.
God Bless you Mom, your voice can now join the Heavenly Choir!
