July 2, 1934 - July 6, 2016
It is with tremendous sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Patricia Maureen Thate on July 6, 2016. She leaves her loving husband of 58 years, Robert William, son Michael, daughter Linda (Sherman), sister Stella, sisters-in-law Marnie and Maureen, brother-in-law Lloyd, nieces Wendy (Bob) and Christine, nephews Keith (Jasmin) and Colin (Lisa), and their extended families. She was predeceased by brothers-in-law Gerald and Verne. Pat was born in New Westminster, BC on July 2, 1934 and later moved to Victoria in the late 40s. In 1991, White Rock became home. Pat's generosity of spirit and caring were evident throughout her daily life. During their married life, Bob and Pat shared many travel memories including California, Nevada and Hawai'i--A 25th anniversary trip to England was a particular highlight for them. Her many close friends can attest to Pat's joy for life and always being a person you could turn to if you needed a listening ear. So many moments in Pat's life will be cherished in our memories. A Celebration of Life will be held at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831 28th Avenue, Surrey, BC on Wednesday, July 20th at 1 pm. Reception to follow.
