Mothe, Ralph Hans of White Rock passed away peacefully while in Peace Arch Hospital on August 2nd at the age of 91.
He will forever be missed and always remembered by his loving wife, Bjorg, son Dag (Traci), daughter Anita (Dave) & son Sven (Tracey) and his grandchildren Joshua (Lise), Sarah (Carlo), Tyler, Ryan, Alysha (Ulrich), Brooke, Bailey, Ethan (Brittlyn) & Jade and his great-grandson Walker.
Ralph Hans Mothe was born in North Vancouver and at age 7 was sent to Norway with his younger brother to be raised by his aunt due to the family's financial hardships. After he finished school, he served in the Norwegian army for 18 months and then returned home to Canada, where he married Bjorg, his bride of almost 61 years.
They had 3 children all born and raised in White Rock. Ralph attended church at White Rock Christian Fellowship (Life Church) and in fact, took one year off of work to donate his time to build the church with the school (WRCA).
Ralph worked together with his dad building homes throughout the lower mainland. He remained a builder/contractor until he retired in the early 90s. He, together with his dad, developed and built 3 different apartment buildings in White Rock. The last apartment building he built on his own in 1967 and owned for over 50 years (Mauritz Manor).
Almost daily you could find Ralph working at his apartment making sure everything was running perfectly for all his tenants. He took great pride in his apartment building.
For many years Ralph was involved in Full Gospel Business Mens Fellowship International, he also was involved in several missions trips (China, Tibet, Nepal, Romania, Phillipines, Brazil) and served on the board of directors of Kenneth Copeland Ministries for 20 years. He also served as an elder at his church for many years. He would often be found praying for others.
Dad lived and loved to serve and in fact that's how he showed his love to his family and friends. He loved his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ with all his heart and looked forward to going to his heavenly home.
