It is with sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved friend, Roberta (Bobby) Holmes. She passed away peacefully in Peace Arch hospital after a short illness. Roberta; one of three children born to Jack and Rhoda Murray of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; from whom she inherited strong values and perseverence. Predeceased by her husband, Ross Holmes, son Alex, and sister Diane. Survived by her brother, Harold Murray, his wife Murina of Kamloops, also Aunt Glenna of Calgary, nephews and nieces, and first and second cousins. Roberta spent most of her working life in the travel business. First as a hostess for Air Canada, and later as a travel agent. A great beauty, with wit and charm, Roberta was named Miss Air Canada. Her choice of career was well suited. She loved to travel, and spent some time living in Australia, however her heart was in Canada. She returned, living in Beauvais Lake, Pincher Creek, before moving to Vancouver, and later to her forever home on Marine Drive, Ocean Park. Roberta loved swimming, and delighted in having people over to enjoy her backyard swimming pool. Her love of swimming was only surpassed by her love for her pet dogs. Sadly missed by her family and many friends, especially her longtime friend, Richard.
