December 27, 1934 - June 22, 2023
It is with much sadness and love that the family announces the passing of Sally Ann Fergusson (Nee Dagsvik), at home on June 22, 2023.
Sally is survived by Campbell, her husband of nearly 63 years, her daughters, Linda Ann (Steven), Carol Mary (Dave), granddaughter Sara Kjellaug (Thijs) and grandson Elijah John, her brother Haakon Armand (Helen) and sisters-in-law Ila May, and Sally Marlene.
Sally was born in Calgary, AB but grew up in Port Arthur ON. She attended Shuniah School, and Port Arthur Colligate Institute and later Kings Business College.
Sally was a very social person. She could strike up a conversation with anyone she met and had many close friends. She became a member of the PEO Sisterhood and was very active in several Chapters.
Family was very important. Her pride and joy were always her children and grandchildren. She loved to cook and many of the family dinners were special with flaming desserts and all.
Sally love to read and enjoyed travel. She had opportunities to visit Europe to welcome the arrival of her granddaughter and meet many of her Norwegian cousins and their families and re-established a family bond. Trips to the UK and Scotland were also enjoyed but perhaps the travel experience that she wished to repeat was a few days in Italy before getting on a cruise around the Mediterranean.
Sally will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched and especially those that loved her. She was a strong-willed woman that insisted on doing what was right and was always ready to lend a hand if something had to be done. We will all miss her guidance and advice.
No service by request. Interment of ashes at Vally View Cemetery, Surrey, BC. will take place on a later date.
Those wishing may gift a charity of their choice in Sally's name.
