In Loving Memory ~

Viola "Vi" Kish, aged 95, peacefully passed away surrounded by infinite love of her family on December 19, 2023

Vi was born on May 9th, 1928 in Matsqui, British Columbia to William (Bill) and Elsie Moore where she was raised on a dairy farm along with her brother "Billy" whom she adored yet sadly lost at a very young age.

Vi married the love of her life, Frank Kish shortly after he returned from overseas after the war. They eventually settled in White Rock with Frank taking a teaching position at White Rock Senior High School. White Rock remained her home for over 50 years.

The best chapters of her life included the growing family that she loved so much. Vi was predeceased by her daughter, Charlene Kish. Vi is survived by her Son Robert Kish (Beth), her grandchildren Wendy (Mitchell Smith) and Grant (Ashleigh Kish) and her three great grandchildren (so far) Thomas Smith, Noah and Willa Kish.

After graduating Vi began clerking at BC Electric later pursuing a rewarding career at Social Services where she engaged in her lifelong passion of helping others. Vi then remained home to raise her children when once they reached school age she began work as the secretary at White Rock United Church, remaining there for many enjoyable years. Throughout Vi's life she engaged in a great many volunteer activities in the community and could always be counted on as a dedicated hardworking participant. Among Vi's greatest legacy's is her tireless support in advocating and assisting her daughter Charlene through many years struggling with her health.

Upon retirement Vi dedicated even more of her time to caring for all her loved ones and friends. She and Frank later moving to the Langley area enjoying the many friends they made in their new community.

Vi's life was a celebration of determination, honor, passion and caring for others.

May Vi's spirit continue to inspire fun-loving gatherings and adventures in the hearts of those who know her.

A celebration of Vi's remarkable life will be organized at a later date.
