It is with a great sense of peace and love that we acknowledge the passing of Walter Russell Brummitt on January 31, 2018.
Born on November 21, 1924 in Vancouver, British Columbia Walter is predeceased by the one love of his life, Evelyn (nee Sharples).
He will be greatly missed by his son Gordon (Dawn), Clea and Atticus and his daughter Colleen (Eric) Grant and Dianne.
Wally's fierce independence kept him living in his home and participating enthusiastically in the local senior's program to beyond his 93rd birthday. Walter will be remembered for his sense of humour, positive outlook and love of his cat Mitzi.
His family would like to thank Dr. Angus McDonald for thoughtful, long term care and the Surrey Come Share Society for their love and kindness over Walter's last years and providing opportunities for Walter to develop some precious friendships.
Special thanks as well to Collen Meyer, a wonderful care giver and exceptional friend to Walter.
A celebration of life will be held on February 17th at 2 pm at Victory Memorial Park, 14831 28th Ave Surrey, BC V4P1P3.
