PALMER, Win (Charles Irwin Murdoch)

We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved Win on August 7th, 2014. Dad passed away peacefully and quietly in the same manner in which he lived his life. He was born in Rossland, BC on September 12th, 1926. Dad and Mom moved to the lower mainland in 1957 from Edmonton and lived in Richmond for 28 years before they moved to White Rock to enjoy their retirement in 1985. Dad loved his daily walks to the pier and his weekly golf games. He lived a very wonderful and fulfilled life and will be truly missed. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Gwen Palmer, daughter Karen (predeceased May 2011) son Brian (predeceased June 2014) (Arleen) son Richard (Pam), son Tim (Patti), son Stan (Sharon), son Dean (Martha), daughter Debi (Jay), son Ian. Dad had 16 beloved grandchildren and 5 beloved step grandchildren and also 17 great grandchildren and 9 step great grandchildren. Our house was always full of family and friends and when the commotion got the better of Dad he could be found in a quiet spot usually enjoying a good book and a few cookies. We would like to Thank Dr. Andre Bredenkamp and Claudia for all the years of wonderful care. We would also like to thank the incredible 1st floor care staff at Rosemary Heights where Dad lived this past year and passed away peacefully. He was surrounded by so many who truly loved him and we will always be grateful.

Please join us for a celebration of Dad's Life on Saturday, September 13th at 1:00pm at Chapel by the Sea 16017 8th Avenue Surrey, BC.
