Kudos to Mayor Catherine Ferguson and Mayor Dianne Watts for working together to make sense of the White Rock and South Surrey town centres.
Thanks also to columnist Frank Bucholtz for his defence of the regions south of the Fraser, in the same Peace Arch News edition (Single regional force would take a toll here).
But what is all the fuss about the mail boxes having disappeared from Central Plaza (Post office apologizes, June 17)?
There is a perfectly good post office with pleasant staff at Peoples Pharmacy, 1453 Johnston Rd. Two new mail boxes are outside, very close to Buy-Low Foods where so many of us like to shop also.
Surely, seniors in White Rock can go there to mail letters without having to cross North Bluff/16 Avenue, assuming Canada Post will still be in business.
