LETTER: Nice to see White Rock’s waterfront returned to its former glory

Removal of one-way street barriers, addition of hanging baskets has livened up city’s waterfront

Editor:

Just took a lovely ride down White Rock beach on Sunday, Sept 5, 2021. What a beautiful place this is again, restored to it’s “original” beauty.

No false barriers making traffic movement a needless challenge.

People walking joyfully on both sides of the street… all shop owners treated fairly. The sun is shining and life is once again as it should be in “My City By the Sea.”

I do hope scenes like this make the city stop this quest to ever do something as disruptive as the road barriers again.

And while I’m at it, great thanks to the gardening department of White Rock for the fabulous hanging baskets that have graced our city this summer.

They have done a stunning job – especially in these drought-ridden conditions!
