LETTERS: Being pregnant is no reason to avoid COVID-19 vaccination

Re: Vaccine card is divisive, Sept. 2 letters

It is unfortunate that your friend and you have not kept up with the local and international recommendations from medical authorities. Being pregnant is no reason not to get the COVID-19 vaccination. In fact, it is recommended.

If a pregnant woman who is unvaccinated happens to catch the virus, her outcome is actually more in jeopardy than many other healthy people.

Nobody is punishing the unvaccinated; but are protecting the rest of the population from them. To allow someone into a public space to potentially infect innocent bystanders is unacceptable. You have been paying attention to the wrong sources of information.
