Re: ‘Hands off’ hump, say White Rock councillors, May 5.

So I see the debate on the “hump” has the potential to heat up again. Rather than cave in to the vocal minority and just let the vegetation grow wild, perhaps council could consider creating “view corridors.”

For example, every few hundred feet, the vegetation, including trees, could be cleared, providing some ocean views for those residents who probably enjoyed panoramic views when they first purchased their homes years ago.

Hopefully, the art of compromise hasn’t been lost and council can find a way to serve all its residents.

For the record, I do not live near the hump and would be unaffected regardless what is decided.
