Thank you for your critique of the techniques that some charities employ.

I would just add that they’re probably trying to manipulate donors with a psychological trick – making them feel guilty if they do not donate after receiving the “gift”.

I, too, do not need these “freebies”, so return them to the charity and request that my name be removed from their mailing list. There are many deserving charities that don’t send out “gifts”.
