Re: City tries to block OIPC order on water utility, May 26.

I am writing to express my gratitude and support towards the City of White Rock for their efforts in fighting Ross Buchanan’s freedom-of-information requests.

I can think of no more noble cause for our tax dollars than preventing the people of White Rock from knowing the circumstances in which we purchased a poisoned water supply. Despite many of our roads lacking sidewalks and the fact that we have no clean drinking water, the mounting legal costs associated with keeping these details obscured should be of the highest priority.

I have every confidence that these efforts are meant to benefit the people of White Rock, not just to keep the image of the current municipal administration from collapsing.

I am sure the citizens of White Rock will fully appreciate the valuable usage of municipal funds to conceal this information come election day.
