I often tire of the angry voices that raise fear about climate change without offering hope, and those voices that shout about the costs of solutions without talking about the cost of inaction.

This noise reminds me that I need to stay focused on why I care:

First, I feel a sense of responsibility for the Earth we inhabit and a wish to leave a future not diminished by my life. And second, I care about my neighbour, and everything we do for those less-fortunate is made harder by the effects of global warming.

We are all implicated participants in the current situation and thermometers don’t care how we vote. I encourage all of your readers to learn more about COP 27 (Nov. 6-18), and to ask their MP to provide non-partisan leadership on this existential threat.
