I would like to commend White Rock Mayor Wayne Baldwin for recognizing Kate Bagshaw, a local member of the War Amps Child Amputee (CHAMP) program.
On Nov. 7, Mayor Baldwin recognized Kate for her involvement with the War Amps and for helping to spread the War Amps ‘playsafe’ message in the community. She has been a junior counsellor to younger amputees at CHAMP seminars, exemplifying a positive approach to challenges. She also helps spread the association’s message, encouraging kids to “spot the danger” before they play.
We are so pleased with Kate’s well-deserved recognition by the city.
