I have read with considerable interest the recent letters expressing writers’ indignant reactions to the mayor’s steamroller methods to proceed with his pet projects.
I believe that the mayor is proceeding full-speed with his favoured projects because he has little chance of being re-elected.
So if his planned changes are made to the local police force, and to the change from light rail to SkyTrain without delay, then by the time his term in office is concluded it will be impossible to reverse course to where we were a year ago. Our mayor is a cunning man.
