Re: Stretch of 8 Avenue remains a speedway, Oct. 29 letters
I would like to add my concern regarding all side streets being speedways.
I walk every day, twice a day, usually. It’s scary to say the least.
I walk along Parker Street and surrounding area, Ewson Park is especially concerning, people regularly drive 60 km/h, if not faster, where it is a 30km/h zone.
When I make a motion for them to slow down, I’m usually flipped off, or verbally told to f-off!
It’s only a matter of time before someone is run down. I hope and pray that police start patrolling side streets not only Marine Drive/8 Avenue.
