LETTERS: Sour grapes over stroller on bus

More sour grapes from the Peninsula’s Bleeding Hearts Club, it seems. I wasn’t there to see the altercation between the bus driver or the passenger with her double carriage, so I can’t in all honesty answer whether the driver was amiss in his reaction.

However, having been on the bus many times when women come on the bus with their buggies, I can see his point.

The problem, and there is one, comes from TransLink administration in allowing someone with a child and buggy in tow to take up three seats for the price of one. There are often others who could use the space taken up by the parent and their buggy.

When we had small children we took along an umbrella stroller which was folded up while on the bus. Our child was on our lap. Funny, but we survived without the need of all those things that now accompany the buggies.

But you know how times change things. Now, we feel entitled. We’re owed, so to hell with all the rest.

Get a grip, people. Time to get your head out and see the light.
