Re: Surrey city staff to assess all agricultural land, with a view to protect it, July 14

Things have changed since 1966, when this land was designated for industrial development by the federal government.

The federal government is now pressing for a green transition – that is the push.

Surrey mayor and council are doing the right thing. Preserve the green, feed the people, give the children natural places to play and explore. Since 1966 (more than 50 years), we have a lot more people here to feed and a lot more families with kids needing outdoor spaces for recreation and healthy development.
