Re: Ugly growth along the rail, Aug. 22 letters.

It is intriguing how the writer of the above letter saw that particular situation, through their eyes.

I walk the east promenade most days throughout the year, from the pier to the ‘bear.’

The profusion of wild flowers, grasses and shrubs that nature provides along the length of the walk, during the summer months, is a delight to many of us, as seen through our eyes.

My partner and I were pleased this year that this natural growth had not been cut down over the summer, as in previous years. We were thus able to enjoy the aesthetic beauty of the ever changing blooms that grow there, unsullied by weed-eaters, for the full summer.

It is interesting the diversity of perception, by different people, of the same subject. Ah yes… but we are just human beings after all!
