Editor:
Words cannot express our gratitude for the wonderful care I received as a patient on the surgical unit not once but twice in the past few months – November, 2021 and January, 2022.
I had surgery on Jan. 4 and occupied bed number 211-A until Sunday, Jan. 9. I am at home now and my surgery was a complete success. That is due in no small part to the excellent care of PAH nurses.
I know our health care system is under extreme stress and nurses’ jobs are not easy.
That is why I am doubly appreciative of the care I received. At every ring of my bell, they were at my bedside for even the smallest reason.
They eased my pain and alleviated so many of my fears. I wish I could call them all by name, but I fear I will leave someone out.
In my mind, these nurses embody the expression, ‘grace under pressure’. My family and I want to thank them from the bottom of our hearts.
