White Rock Recreation and Culture summer program registration begins May 22 at 8:30 a.m. Check out all the fabulous summer recreation opportunities available, including over 25 exciting summer excursions. • The Kent Street Choristers present their Spring Concert, We Are One, on Saturday, May 25, 3 p.m. at the Peninsula United Church in Surrey. Tickets are $10, with children 12 and under $5. Tickets are available from choir members or at the Kent Street Activity Centre.
• Are you looking for a fun activity to join, get some exercise and meet some new friends? Then why not drop down to the Kent Street Activity Centre every Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to noon for some Carpet Bowling? Don’t worry if you have never played before. • Tickets are on sale for Lucky Ladies – two short comedies directed by Rita Humphreys and presented by the Kent Street Players. Choose one of three performance dates, May 31, June 2 or June 8 at 2 p.m. at the Kent Street Activity Centre. Admission is $10 and includes light refreshments. • The Sing-Along Activity Group at the Kent Street Activity Centre has a wonderful volunteer opportunity for someone who has some time to share. We are looking for a person who would enjoy playing the piano for this friendly and fun group a few Tuesdays a month at 2 p.m. If you are interested in finding out more about the volunteer opportunity, please call 604-541-2231.
• The Healthy Lifestyle Series is back at the Kent Street Activity Centre beginning Thursday May 23 at 2 p.m. Join Cathy Donn Herrera, Registered Holistic Nutritionist and fitness expert, for a variety of interactive workshops to learn strategies that you can implement today for a more healthy lifestyle. • See you Wednesday, May 22 at the Kent Street Activity Centre Auditorium for a night of social dancing to the great sounds of Brian Zalo. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with dancing from 7 to 9:30 p.m. On May 29, the Alpiners will be performing. Open to all ages 50+, singles, couples. A fun night out for $7 for Kent Street Activity Centre members and $9 for non-members.
