The Kwantlen Eagles begin play in the Pacific Western Athletic Association (PacWest) soccer season this weekend, with a road trip to the B.C. Interior.

Both the men’s and women’s teams will be in Kelowna Saturday for games with the UBC-Okanagan Heat, before playing again Sunday against the Thompson Rivers University Wolfpack.

The women’s team, which won PacWest provincial championships in 2009 and 2010, will have nine returning players under first-year head coach Donn Sparks.

The men’s team, under head coach Ajit Braich, are coming off their first playoff appearance in four seasons.
