The 72-annual Cloverdale Rodeo kicked off on Friday night (May 19).
The stands weren’t quite full, but the weather held and the audience got to take in the Friday night fireworks from the Stetson Bowl.

Returning favourites and new contenders entered the ring to go head-to-head in bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, ladies barrel racing and bull riding.
Ladies barrel racing is harder to capture than the bucking broncos. Faster in person than appears in video. #clvrodeo17 #cloverdalerodeo pic.twitter.com/UEkl6SZTqE
