Westgard – who began his junior career with the Surrey Eagles before moving to the WHL in the middle of last season – was the Royals’ lone goal-scorer in a 3-1 loss to the Prince George Cougars.

This weekend, Westgard and his teammates have a pair of home games – Friday and Saturday night – against the visiting Kamloops Blazers.
