The Semiahmoo Rotary Club’s annual charity golf tournament hits the links next month at Peace Portal Golf Course.
The event is June 8, with proceeds going to charity. This year, 50 per cent of the funds raised goes to the Peace Arch Hospital and Community Health Foundation, with the remaining money going to other local charities and scholarships for students at both Elgin Park Secondary and Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
The golf tournament is in its 22nd year; over the last 21 events, more than $1-million has been raised through the event.The event includes golf, lunch, dinner, and prizes.
A junior tournament – featuring golfers from local high schools – will also be held at Peace Portal, as part of the Pat Dooley Memorial Junior Golf Tournament.
