A soccer camp aimed at busy, on-the-go women is set to begin its third year of operation next week at Bakerview Park.
Women's Soccer Soccer Camps, the brainchild of local soccer player Carol Savage, runs July 11-15, and again Aug. 29-Sept. 2; both camps run daily from 9:15-11:15 a.m.
The camps are aimed at beginner and intermediate players, Savage said.
"We struggle to get women out to play, as they are the hub of the family and tend to other's needs before their own," she said.
"What we've tried to do it make it easy for women to attend but offering children's soccer camps at the same time, same place, so they have convenient daycare.
"Sports are important not just for children, but for women, too."
